Social Responsibility

BII's role as the professional body for the licensed retail industry is to raise standards of professionalism. This involves working with operators within the sector to encourage them to run socially responsible businesses.

Schemes

Underpinning social responsibility are a number of schemes such as Best Bar None and PASS (see tabs on left for more information) which BII supports.

Qualifications

Many of the qualifications offered by BII's awarding body, BIIAB, develop skills and knowledge in support of high standards of responsible alcohol retailing. These include:
