2006 BII NITAs Launched

23-May-2006

The 2006 BII NITAs, the most prestigious training awards in the licensed retail sector have been launched, and now is the time to get your entries in. With two new entry categories for 2006, there is even greater scope for entry if you provide training in the licensed retail sector.

The BII NITAs are the ultimate endorsement of training excellence and are recognised throughout the licensed retail sector. This status is mainly due to the independent and rigorous nature of the judging process.

This year entries are open for 14 categories, with two new categories; ‘Best Training scheme run by colleges of further education in partnership with the licensed retail industry’, and ‘Best development programme in licensed retail where consumption is off the premises’.

Professor Conrad Lashley CMBII, the chairman of the respected and influential judging panel said of the awards: “This is the third year of running the NITAs in the new format which includes a more rigorous judging procedure, and provides all entrants with personal feedback on their entry. Research with entrants last year revealed that the feedback was a much appreciated new element of the judging process.”

He added: “Those who win a BII NITA are regarded as simply the best in their field, and it demonstrates huge prestige. This year will see the introduction of  the new ‘Supreme Award’, which will celebrate the very best entry for the year, and will be awarded to the winner of any category who exemplify excellence and best practice training.”

So get your entries in now, closing date is 30th June. For more information and to enter contact Rachael Julnes on 01276 682214 or e-mail your request to NITA@bii.org
