Internet sales of alcohol and tobacco ruling welcomed by BII

John McNamara, BII Chief Executive said, “I am delighted that common sense has prevailed and that shoppers purchasing cheap goods, such as alcohol, abroad will have to accompany their purchases. It was a great concern to the licensed trade that if sales could have been made remotely and delivered then the fight against under age sales and cheap smuggled goods would have been much tougher.”
