Christmas Celebrations started early for eighteen successful licensees!
24-Dec-2003
Eighteen licensees are this month celebrating their success of reaching the quarter finals in the British Institute of Innkeeping’s (BII) 2004 Licensee of the Year award competition.
The nationwide search for the best in the business, sponsored by drinks wholesaler Matthew Clark, has attracted a large number of entrants; but it was the finalists’ passion for the industry, and high standards in every aspect of running their pub that appealed to the judges.
Brigitte Rushmore ABII, Senior Marketing Manager at the BII said: "Our finalists have really proved themselves to the judges. It is clear that they are dedicated to running a professional and welcoming pub, and those who have reached this stage of the competition represent some of the best licensees in the business.
"My congratulations go out to them all and I hope they will be raising a glass to their success as well as celebrating the festive season!"
All eighteen will find out early in the New Year as to whether they have been chosen for the final six to attend the glittering Publican Awards ceremony. The winner of the BII’s 2004 Licensee of the Year Award will be announced at the ceremony along with the presentation of the trophy and a cheque for £1000.
