Confused over Licensing Reform? Prepare NOW!
12-Jan-2004
The biggest change in Licensing law in over 20 years is taking place with teh introduction of the Licensing Act 2003, and all licensees need to be aware of how this new law will affect their business.
The British Institute of Innkeeping’s (BII) Wessex region is inviting all local licensees, whether members or non-members to attend an informal breakfast meeting on Tuesday 27 January, 2004 at the Speech House, Forest of Dean; to discuss how the new Licensing Act will affect you.
Alec Roud CMBII, Chairman of the BII’s Wessex region is hosting the event to explain to licensees how the Wessex division of the BII is supporting members and non members. He said: "Our top priority at the BII is to keep licensees informed of all changes to licensing law and to offer them support and advice to help them prepare for the new system, which will be in place by the summer of this year.
"It is vital for everybody in our industry to understand the full implications of the Licensing Act 2003 and to encourage mutual responsibility amongst licensees, local authorities and police. We all need to work together to make this process a smooth one."
John Melia FBII, Client Development Director at the BII will also be on hand to answer any queries guests have and to outline what exactly licensees need to be doing to ensure they do not fall foul of the new law.
To reserve your place for this information seminar, please call Alec Roud on 01884 256301 and have your details ready. Tickets are only £10 per person.
