BII appoints new Head of Membership Development

BII, the professional body for the licensed retail sector, has bolstered its membership drive with the appointment of Allan Thomson in the new position of a Head of Membership Development.
In the position, Allan will be working with the existing membership team to increase membership levels, looking at innovative ways of attracting new members and of course ensuring that existing members are well catered for.
Allan previously worked for British Gas in various positions including within its membership arm, British Gas Services.
Allan Thomson, Head of Membership Development, said, “I am very impressed with the high brand value BII has within the licensed retail sector and also the service that it offers to members. Membership recruitment is competitive and I feel BII already has a strong position within the licensed retail sector.
He added, “I am delighted to be working at BII and am looking forward to getting my teeth into the development of a raft of new initiatives to really benefit our current and future members.”
