Final six announced in top pub industry award

First they were whittled down to 19 semi finalists and now BII, the professional body for the licensed retail sector, has announced the final six finalists all in the running to win the prestigious BII Licensee of the Year 2007.
They will now be waiting until 20th of March to find out who has won the final accolade at the glittering Publican Awards in London.
The BII Licensee of the Year Award is the highest individual achievement awarded in the licensed trade and aims to discover the very best in the business. Winners show that they run their venues with the utmost professionalism and act in a socially responsible manner. Previous winners have gone onto further success both increasing business and raising the profile of the licensed trade.
John McNamara CMBII, BII Chief Executive, said, “All the semi finalists were visited in their venues by our experienced Licensee of the Year judges and were really put through their paces. BII truly believes in professionalism, social responsibility and running businesses well. This competition isn’t about how a venue looks but how the licensee runs it and the standards they aspire to and achieve.
He added, “Congratulations to all the finalists in making the final six, I look forward to seeing them at the Publican Awards in March.”
