BII offers members updated insurance benefit

BII, the professional body for the licensed retail sector is now offering members an updated insurance benefit through its benefit provider, Marsh.

 

Marsh is offering a new package with improved pricing and service such as quotes, documentation and help with claims. Pricing benefits include payment by interest-free installments and a better pricing structure.

 

Steve Howe, BII head of membership, says: “The insurance member benefit is an important part of the BII package and it’s vital it offers members a quality product at a special price. We’ve enjoyed a good relationship with Marsh for 20 years, however member feedback began to indicate that all was not well in terms of pricing and customer service.

 

“Through a series of very productive meetings with Marsh (which included some of our members) they very quickly acknowledged the issues we raised and have strengthened the benefit offer to our members. I’ve been particularly impressed with their desire to work with us to ensure our members have a high quality insurance package available at a discounted BII price.

 

“We’ll continue to monitor the performance of all our benefit providers and I’m always interested to hear from any members regarding their experiences of dealing with our preferred suppliers. Annette Tong GBII of The Spring Tavern, Glossop, Derbyshire took out one of the new policies last November. “After shopping around for insurance quotations I found Marsh offered the most competitive premium due to the discount I received through my BII membership. The staff were extremely helpful and efficient in explaining the cover provided by the policy and I received documentation within a few days. Overall, an excellent service.”
