More Door Supervisors to be welcomed by professional body

03-Apr-2007

BII, the professional body for the licensed retail sector, has launched two new membership categories for door supervisors.

Door supervisors who have passed their National Certificate for Door Supervisors will be eligible to become Graduate members of BII for a year. They will be able to use letters ‘GBII.ds’ after their name. Once a door supervisor has obtained their SIA licence they will be entitled to become Associate members of BII and use the letters ‘AMBII.ds’ after their name.

Door supervisor membership of BII is not simply about the prestige of membership, they will also have access to all BII membership benefits include a number of bespoke benefits for door supervisors.

These include:

discounts on:

Steve Howe, Director of Membership said, “BII believes that door supervisors play a critical role in the licensed retail trade and deserve to be recognised by the professional body for our industry. Being a member of BII will set a door supervisor apart and will show their high level of professionalism to employers, the police, licensing authorities and the community.

He added, “We have thought very carefully about the kind of specific benefits to aim at door supervisors. By taking advantage of the discounts alone could save an individual more than the cost of their membership. BII is the natural home for professional door supervisors and we look forward to welcoming even more door supervisors to our organisation.”
