Whatever kind of outlet you run, BII is for you – visit us at BAR 07
16-May-2007
BII will be showcasing its membership and qualifications to the contemporary bar scene at BAR 07 on 5 & 6 June at Earls Court Two, London.
BAR is the unrivalled professional trade show for the contemporary UK bar scene and attracts over 9,500 visitors, not just from the UK but also internationally.
Steve Howe, BII Director of Membership, said, “We are excited to have a stand at BAR 07 as we see this as a perfect opportunity to raise the profile of BII and our awarding body, BIIAB, to a wider audience including younger entrepreneurs, gastro pubs and style bars. Our roots are in the traditional on trade sector but increasingly we are attracting members from every sphere, wherever alcohol is sold.
He added, “We are looking for new members who are at the cutting edge of the hospitality industry – visionaries behind the latest concepts, the people who make them happen and the leaders of tomorrow. In return we can provide professional status and recognition. Our team in the stand will be ready to show just how much BII and BIIAB has to offer to the contemporary bar scene from business building to a wide range of qualifications. Visit us at Stand F82 to find out more.”
Steve Howe, BII Director of Membership and Cathie Smith, Director of BIIAB, will be on the panel of leading licensing figures for the Beam Bar Talks interactive discussion panels. Subjects to be debated include dealing with violent crime, how the trade should respond as attention turns from tobacco to alcohol following the smoking ban, and debating who better upholds the licensing principles, government or the trade?
Beam Bar Talks are by invitations only and are aimed at independent operators on the first day and HQ senior operators on the second day. For more information visit www.barshow.co.uk
