“Chips” Are Back On The Menu In North West Pubs

12-May-2008

The North West Region of BII, the professional body for the licensed retail industry, is putting chips of the gambling kind back on the menu in pubs. The region is hosting a series of events in Preston, Liverpool, and Manchester over the next couple of months showing owners and managers of pubs, clubs, bars and hotels how to take advantage of the recent lift of the gambling restrictions by putting on themed evenings.

The events are free to attend and promise to give licensees valuable hints and tips on how to increase sales of food and drink, and make sure their customers have fun! The “roadshow” of events is being sponsored by Marstons Pub Company, Thwaites and Robinsons Brewery.

BII North West Regional chairman Terri Leahy FBII says: “Licensees can increase business by holding themed gambling or casino evenings and these events will show you how to grow both wet and dry sales as well as your pub’s profile. Come along, they’re a safe bet as they’re free to attend!”

The event dates are:

There’s no need to pre-book, just register on the day. Anyone interested in joining BII, can make the most of half price joining fees if they sign up on the day. For further information email northwest@bii.org or visit www.bii.org/events.

BII has over 41,000 full and provisional members throughout the UK and each of its 16 regions organises regular events to ensure licensed retailers remain up-to-date with industry developments. Terri Leahy welcomes members and non-members to benefit from the tips and advice on offer and to make the most of the opportunity to network with other licensees and industry professionals.
