BIIAB pledges to turn NCL certificates around in 24 hours

The BIIAB, the awarding body of the BII, has launched an enhanced service for licensees embroiled in applying for Justices’ Licences before the 6th August cut off date for Grandfather Rights. Requests for duplicate copies of NCL (National Certificate for Licensees) will now be turned around in 24 hours.
Cathie Smith, Director of BIIAB, said, “There is a real need for this quick service at the moment. Licensees are desperately trying to get their applications in on time for the 6th August and we aim to help in any way we can. Any requests for NCL duplicate certificates received before 12noon will be dispatched by
John McNamara, BII Chief Executive, added, “This is another service we are offering licensees at this pressurised time. The BII also has a free dedicated licensing helpline for members and has published a list of specialist licensing solicitors who are still taking instructions for handling conversions and variation applications for premises licenses (grandfather rights) on our website.”
