BII North East Region holds event at Newcastle Racecourse

The British Institute of Innkeeping's (BII) North East region will be holding a major business building seminar at Newcastle Racecourse on Wednesday, 5th June 2002.

The event starts at 10.00am with registration and the seminar will begin at 10.30am. The first presentation comes courtesy of Phil Dixon, CMBII and award winning licensee Bill Kendrick, FBII, who will talk on behalf of Grey Archer about using a crucial business and marketing tool within the Pub - the PC - to raise revenues and cut costs. Simon Fisher of BOC Sureflow will then discuss Cellar and Gas Management focusing on current legislation and the 'Confined Spaces Act 1998'.

The seminar ends with a discussion on Stress Management in the Licensed Trade by Dr. Phil Leather. He will take a look at the symptoms and causes of stress and ways to combat this modern day problem.

There will then be an opportunity to relax and network with other licensees over Bucks Fizz and a buffet lunch, after which the fun starts with a full afternoon of top quality racing.

The event is open to BII members and non-members alike and costs only £35 per person. The price includes entry to the Members' Enclosure and a race card.
