BII Southern Region provides plans for the
Queen’s Golden Jubilee
The British Institute of Innkeeping’s (BII) Southern Region is to host a networking day with some tips and ideas on how licensees can hold a successful event for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee this year. The seminar will be held on Wednesday February 13, 2002 at the Licensed Victuallers’ School in Ascot, Surrey.
This networking day encompasses the Annual General Meeting where the new regional chairman, vice-chair, treasurer and secretary will be elected. This provides an opportunity to nominate and meet regional council members as well as discuss business plans and opportunities for licensees in 2002.
Ian Crump MBA, director of development at the Society of Licensed Victuallers, will then give a presentation about the oldest charity in the retail drinks industry.
Finally, Bruno Peek OBE of the Golden Jubilee Summer Party will take the stage for the bulk of the seminar to provide licensees with ideas and plans on how to build trade for the forthcoming Golden Jubilee. Bruno will highlight the benefits for their business as well as the local community they serve, by suggesting they can hold parties in their pub, garden or even a street party outside their venue.
Guests can then relax and enjoy a hot two-course lunch and complimentary drinks while socialising with colleagues and council members. This networking day is open to all those involved in licensed retailing, BII members or not. To ensure your place, please call Nicola Saunders at the BII on 01276 417823 or by e-mail nicola@bii.org. ends] …/more
