BII appoints a director of finance and operations
10-Sep-2001
Paul Hellmuth has joined the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) as director
of finance and operations. Paul started at the BII last month, joining from
Chambers Travel, a travel company. Prior to this he was finance director for Capespan, a South African fruit exporter. Paul has also worked for both the Institute of Personnel & Development and the Chartered Institute of Marketing so he brings with him a good understanding of membership organisations.
Paul’s remit includes keeping the BII on track financially, as well as planning for future IT investment. He heads up the company’s existing finance and IT teams.
Paul said: “The BII has expanded rapidly over the past few years and investment in systems and processes has increased in line with this. Due to this it offers a challenging position to ensure that development continues in a strategic manner, and that progress stays in line with budgetary constraints.”
Paul is 41 and is a keen pub-goer, and former rugby player. He lives near Maidenhead with his wife and two kids. ends]
