Enhance your business with the British Institute of Innkeeping’s South East region
16-Apr-2003
Join local licensees for some top tips on running your pub to full capacity and profit, at the British Institute of Innkeeping’s (BII) South East Region event. The event is taking place at the John Harvey Tavern, Lewes, East Sussex, on Tuesday April 29, and is open to all, non-members and members alike.
Delegates who attend the event will discover the benefits of adopting the recently launched Hospitable Climates scheme, which can help save as much as 20 per cent of the energy used in pubs. Professor John Forte, energy consultant for Hospitable Climates, will explain the details of this free-of-charge, energy saving scheme, as well as highlighting case studies around the country where the programme has been successful.
Paul Nunny, Managing Director of Cask Marque, will then take the stage to advise guests on how Cask Marque can deliver more customers and ensure that publicans retain existing customers through best practice.
Guests then have the afternoon to relax with colleagues over lunch as well as a presentation and tasting of some of Harvey’s award-winning ales by Roger Protz, Editor of the Good Beer Guide.
There will also be an optional tour of The Bridge Wharf Brewery, which gives a history of Harvey’s beers and ales and covers all aspects of the brewing process.
Tickets for this event are excellent value for money at only £12 per person, and are available by calling Gillian Hedditch on 01276 417846 or by e-mail at gillian@bii.org.
