Call for outstanding conflict management professionals
06-Feb-2006
Conflict Professional Awards and Dinner June 8, 2006
National awards for outstanding conflict management
As expertise in conflict management grows, it is becoming increasingly important to recognise good practice and role models.
This will now be done in the Conflict Professional awards which will be presented at the new ConflictPro Conference on June 8 and 9 2006.
BII, the professional body for the licensed retail sector, is pleased to announce that it is supporting the category aimed at the licensed retail and hospitality sector.
The Conflict Professional awards aim to identify employees that through outstanding management or individual action have made a real contribution to reducing conflict and violence in their workplace.
The awards will recognise excellence and help further raise standards in this very important area of safety.
The ConflictPro awards will initially be focused on four sectors particularly active in managing work related violence:
- Licensed retail and hospitality
- Security and wider police family
- Health and social care
- Local government
The individuals nominated for the awards will have to show how they have through personal initiative helped reduce conflict and violence and created a safer workplace for staff and customers/service users.
Judging
Conflict Professional will provide a judge to cover all four sectors. Each sector will also have a judge from the lead sector body and a major sector employer. The judges will be looking for a thorough understanding of the complexities of work related violence and practical implementation of policies for front line employees.
The closing date for entries is 14 April, and for an entry form please go to www.conflictproconference.com.
