Adnams PLC

Adnams logoAdnams Sole Bay Brewery stands right in the middle of Southwold, as it has for generations.  The history of brewing here can be traced back to 1345.  Adnams beers have been famous since 1872, when the brewery was bought by George & Ernest Adnams.  More than a century later, many aspects of the company and the brewery itself have changed, but the essential character of Adnams lives on – along with the passion for brewing wonderfully distinctive and delightful beers for discerning drinks in East Anglia and beyond.

Fiercely independent, Adnams has achieved a superb balance between the old way and the new.  The brewery produces a wide range of beers, each with its own distinct character, totalling nearly 20 million pints a year (soon to be increased with an expanded brewhouse).
