Make The Most Of British Tourism Week 15th-21st March

Released

Summary

The fourth annual British Tourism Week will take place from 15th to 21st March 2010 and this presents many opportunities for pubs, hotels and restaurants up and down the country.

The week aims to raise local, regional, national and international awareness of the size, value and importance of Britain's £114 billion visitor economy.

Participating in the week presents an opportunity to build trade, gain publicity for your pub, and raise awareness of the vital role pubs play in the tourism and hospitality sector – at a crucial time in the political calendar.

A range of specific events are planned, but there is an overall structure to the week that is designed to encourage local and regional events to be added on – right down to the level of local businesses like pubs.

The BBPA, which is a member of the British Tourism Week steering committee, has produced a guide focusing on the many ways in which pubs can get involved. The guide is available to download for free from the BBPA website here.
