Newcomer Events

At the beginning of 2011, BII very successfully ran 5 free Introduction events for newcomers into the industry. After trialling this type of event we are now looking at improving these events and taking them to another level.  We are proposing to hold 6 events later on this year for all people new to the licensed trade.

FREE Introduction to the Licensed Retail Industry

These events were FREE-OF-CHARGE and have been designed for people thinking about joining the licensed retail trade, people who have recently joined the trade and people who are about to take on their own premises. 

These events gave people the chance to:

• Come and listen to our guest speakers who are willing to share with you an overview of the industry and eager to pass on stories of their own personal journey and experiences in the trade

• Come and ask the professionals all those questions you need answers to

• Come and meet others in the same boat as you are

• Come and meet your regional chairman and BII’s Chief Exec, Neil Robertson, who will share with you his thoughts on where we are as a trade

• Come and find out how BII can, and will, support and help you to achieve a successful career in licensed retail.
