How do I contact my local regional council chairman or committee?

There are 16 regional BII councils across the UK who are always keen to attract new council members, and for members to become more actively involved.

How do I renew my membership?

You can renew your membership in a number of ways.

  • By far the most cost effective is via Direct Debit, which can be as much as £10 cheaper each year.  If  you wish to renew by Direct Debit please call Membership Services on 01276 684449, and they will  send a Direct Debit mandate to you, or click here to print out a Direct Debit mandate

  • You can renew by credit card over the phone by calling membership services on 0800 783 9794/5

  • Or you can pay by sending a cheque (payable to BII) or postal order to:

I am thinking of running a pub/coming into the industry, where do I find out information?

There are a variety of ways to go about this depending on what sort of premises you are looking for and what role you will have.

There is a useful website, full of information, www.mypublife.com which is a good place to start and will have answers to many of your questions.

If you intend to manage an outlet, or wish to become a tenant/lessee yourself, many pub companies and breweries provide training courses for potential licensees and it’s worth visiting their individual websites for further information. Now that I have my BIIAB Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) qualification, how do I get my Personal Licence?

In order to obtain your Personal Licence you must contact your local licensing authority where you live to obtain an application form. 

Now that I have my Level 2 Award in Door Supervision (ADS) qualification, how do I get my licence?

In order to obtain your SIA licence you will need to contact the Security Industry Authority (SIA) directly on 08702 430 100 or by visiting their website www.the-sia.org.uk

Where can I find out more about BII's Code of Practice accreditation scheme?

Why can't I access the BII's benefits section of the website?

The main benefits section of the BII website is restricted to BII members only. 

If you are a BII member, and you do not currently have an email address registered with us, you will not be able to access the members-only area of our website.  Please call the Membership Services Department on 01276 684449 during office hours to let us know your new email address, or email membermail@bii.org
