The BII have always worked closely with other relevant organisations across the licensed trade. This ensures we're always sharing the latest ideas and standards with our members.

The organisations listed below all offer different services but aim to advise, support and help. Some offer financial and emotional support, whilst others promote best practice.

We promote the sector so we are noticed and treated fairly, provide advice to protect commercial interests, and lobby to prevent restrictive legislation or taxation.

A pub can be the centre of community life and also provide essential services beyond the usual drinks, food or entertainment. Our specialist advisors support communities and licensees who are thinking of broadening their range of services.

Licensed Trade Charity

People who manage or work in pubs give a lot of time, energy and often compassion to their customers, but don’t always see much reward for their work. We support hundreds of people facing a crisis with practical, emotional and financial support.

The Scottish Benevolent Society

Offering financial, social and emotional support. The BEN supports people of all ages who have worked in the licensed trade for at least 3 years full-time with beneficiaries receiving annual financial assistance as well as discretionary emergency grants.

We champion issues that matter to the beer and pub industry, whether that’s promoting beer as the nation’s drink, or lobbying against increases in beer duty and businesses rates.

Only A Pavement Away

Founded by representatives from the hospitality industry. We act as a conduit to help those people struggling to get into work overcome hurdles by finding jobs within the hospitality, pub and restaurant industry.

The Drinks Trust

From March 2020, The Benevolent became known as The Drinks Trust, and it continues to support the members of the drinks industry as it has since 1886, striving to enable the members of its community to thrive and succeed in their professions.

We are an Accreditation Scheme which is aimed primarily at promoting responsible management and operation of alcohol licensed premises.

The PubAid team works with press, broadcast media, social channels, MPs and others to showcase the great work that pubs and their customers do for charity, raising over £100m every year. Our initiatives include the annual World’s Biggest Pub Quiz.

Pubs Code Adjudicator

The Pubs Code Adjudicator is responsible for enforcing the statutory Pubs Code. The Pubs Code regulates the relationship between all pub companies owning 500 or more tied pubs in England and Wales and their tied tenants.

Drinkaware is an independent charity working to reduce alcohol misuse and harm in the UK. We're here to help people make better choices about drinking. We achieve this by providing impartial, evidence-based information, advice and practical resources.
