Changes to authentication for card payments are coming

In September, new regulations will change the way customers authenticate remote transactions

In September, new ‘Strong Customer Authentication’ (SCA) regulations will change the way customers authenticate remote transactions.

Transactions made while the customer is present, through contactless or chip and PIN methods, will not be affected - but any remote payments made through a pub website to pay for events, deposits or room reservations will require two stage verification.

You may need to contact your card payment provider and website payment host for advice.
