The Premier League action continues with Sky Sports bringing the biggest names and the biggest games from a fascinating season. There’s an exciting line-up including Everton v Manchester United; Manchester City v Arsenal and Liverpool v Crystal Palace. The Championship promotion race is also heating up and those pubs that have Sky Sports will be able to show all the twists and turns throughout the month.
The end of March sees the last chance for 16 nations to book a ticket to the 2020 European Championships, but only four will qualify. If both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland win their semi-final games against Slovakia and Bosnia & Herzegovina respectively, the two nations will compete in an all-Irish final in the summer. Pubs can be sure to keep their customers entertained with the play-off semi-finals and final action live on Sky Sports.
And it’s not just football…
Formula 1 celebrates its 70th anniversary season with the start of a record-breaking 22-race competition – that’s more races than last year, plus two new circuits. The season gets underway in Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix, where champion Lewis Hamilton will look secure his seventh successful championship campaign. Pubs can keep up to date with every race weekend exclusively live on Sky Sports.
In cricket, England play two Test matches against Sri Lanka, and as Joe Root’s team have proven to be up for any challenge it should be an exciting show.
Pubs should make sure they’re registered with MySkySports.com to access a range of game-changing support tools available to promote all of the action.
Pints. Camera. Action! And the winner is...The Grapes in Abingdon
The winners of Sky’s Pints. Camera. Action! competition have now been announced. Andrew Fudge and Kylie Buckle, licensees of The Grapes in Abingdon, a high street pub with a community focus, were drawn from thousands of pubs who entered. They will now have a TV advert and advertising campaign created especially for their business.
The advert, which will centre around their pub, will be created at no cost to Andrew and Kylie. It will be shown across Sky’s channels in the run up to Easter through AdSmart from Sky, a revolutionary approach to TV advertising which levels the playing field so that businesses – whatever their shape or size – can benefit from the power and impact of TV.
With AdSmart, different adverts can be shown to different households watching the same programme. This means that pubs can advertise on national channels but to relevant audiences in their local postcode area, giving a more local and targeted approach. https://www.bii.org/
