OAPA is inviting employers from the hospitality industry to book places at a series of half day round-table sessions taking place around the country during May, June and July.
Each session will explain how employers can work with OAPA, covering off the processes involved in employing either a homeless person, ex-offender or vulnerable veterans and the support available to both employer and employee.
Nine sessions are planned, each of which can accommodate around 15 – 20 people. There is no charge to attend, but places are expected to be booked up quickly, so anyone interested in coming along should reserve a space as soon as possible.
Founder and CEO of OAPA, Greg Mangham, said: “A number of hospitality industry employers attended our inaugural conference last month and we had some really positive feedback. Several people came up to me afterwards wanting to know more about how they could go about offering employment to a homeless person, so we decided to launch a series of round-table sessions around the country to explain the process in more detail.
“We will use these to run through the practicalities involved, such as how to advertise vacant positions on our jobs board and the practical support offered to the companies that partner with us and the people they employ through OAPA.”
