Preventing underage gambling on your premises

Following a report last month on the number of pubs failing to prevent children using gaming machines, licensees are being urged to review and highlight their policy on underage gambling to ensure staff are aware of their responsibilities.

The Gambling Commission does carry out test purchasing exercises to monitor underage access to gaming machines in pubs, and offers advice and a code of practice for pub operators to ensure they stay within the law.
